All in all there isn't much to say about this challenge. Additionally when paired with an item that provides invincibility, it can easily clear a room with little effort. Sacrificial Dagger can be a great item if used properly as it can block enemy tears as well as deal heavy damage. When you also have soul or demon hearts as the Razor Blade will only deal red heart damage as long as you have red heart health. Starting with the Razor Blade item allows you to get into the Whore of Babylon state right away and allows you to keep it up should you accidentally pick up red hearts. Unlocked By - Defeat Mom's Heart 11 timesĪ challenge that is a bit easier than it sounds as it is practically just a regular Eve run.Starting Items - Razor Blade, Pentagram, Dead Bird, Whore of Babylon, Sacrificial Dagger, Dark Matter.
Another easier way to get through the challenge is to take advantage of a 1 or 6 pip dice room which will re-roll all of your items and can usually just turn it into a regular run. Brimstone is a massive help and can more or less win you the challenge on its own as it gives you a large ring of brimstone laser around your character. Good items for this run are Spoon Bender for homing shots (making aim less of an issue). Iron Bar can be a bit of a double-edged sword as while it does stun enemies for you, it also makes their movements more erratic making them harder to predict and avoid. Soy Milk gives you crazy fire rate but your damage will be extremely low so many more hits will be needed to kill enemies (though you get Small Rock which makes it a little less terrible). Tiny Planet makes your tears orbit around your character instead of being shot in a specific direction which can make targeting specific enemies a bit tougher than usual. This is one of the tougher challenges but thankfully you only have to defeat Mom to clear it. Starting Items - Tiny Planet, Soy Milk, Iron Bar, Small Rock.Flush is great for the tougher rooms and also have the ability to kill Dingle & Dangle instantly. Items that give any sort of brief invincibility like the Chariot card synergize well with E Coli allowing you to turn enemies into poop without worrying about the contact damage. Number One gives you a very good fire rate but limits your range quite significantly so one aim will be to pick up any boss items that extend range (Lazy Worm and Whip Worm are also great trinkets that extend your range with good effect) and pills can be a great resource if Range Up pills are in your run's rotation. E Coli and Flush both turn all regular enemies into poop which while holding Petrified Poop have a higher chance of dropping coins when broken open. E Coli and Flush both work well together with Petrified Poop. While the items may not seem too great, they can provide some useful combinations. Starting Items - Number One, E Coli, Butt Bombs, Flush, Petrified PoopĪ reasonably easy challenge, High Brow will see you make your way to and defeat Mom using items themed around toilet humor. As you only have to reach Mom, the challenge shouldn't be too difficult.
Devil Deals can be potentially more dangerous than normal unless you are confident in your HP status. As for Curse of the Unknown, remember that you start with 3 HP as Isaac and simply try to keep track of any hits or heals you get as you proceed through the floor. If you want to make the Curse of Darkness less of an issue you can turn up the games gamma setting in options. The second issue you have is trying to keep track of your HP as Curse of the Unknown will stop you from being able to see how much HP you have left at any time. The difficulty of the challenge comes with the screen being permanently darkened due to the Curse of Darkness being in effect. Your goal is to make it to Depths II (or its equivalent) and defeat Mom. Pitch Black is the first challenge and as such is not too difficult.
